Jennifer Judith (Wyluda) Rhatigan, 61, of South River, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on November 15, 2025, surrounded by her loving family, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
Born on January 21, 1964, in South Amboy, Jennifer was the daughter of Floyd and Anne Wyluda. She grew up in South River and attended Saint Mary's School. On November 22, 1986, she married the love of her life, Michael Rhatigan, and together they built a beautiful legacy.
Jennifer was known for her kindness, strength, and creativity. She had an incredible gift for making others feel loved, valued, and truly seen. Her mission in life was to be a great mother. She wholeheartedly embraced this role and perfectly achieved it. Her family was the center of her world, and her three children, Holly, Jeff, and Zac, were her greatest joy and source of pride. She also held a special bond with her nephew Eddie, who was like a son to her.
Throughout her long career in customer service, most recently with Smurfit Westrock, Jennifer was admired for her dedication, professionalism, and genuine care for others. Her presence brought warmth, comfort, and a sense of belonging to everyone she met.
She is survived by her husband, Michael; her daughter Holly and wife Katie; her son Jeff and wife Erin; her son Zac and future wife Olivia; her grandchildren Deklan, Ireland, and Porter; her two brothers, Larry and Ed; and her nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Jeffrey.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Eli Seth Matthews Leukemia Foundation, causes close to Jennifer's heart.
Jennifer's spirit reached far beyond what she ever knew. Every life she touched carries forward a part of her, creating a lasting influence that will continue to ripple throughout the world.
